What is an Engineering Ambassador?
Engineering Ambassadors(EA) are students currently enrolled in the College of Engineering who are whole-heartedly dedicated to the advancement of engineering through the early education and mentorship of aspiring students. This organization is comprised of students from the various engineering disciplines. Each Ambassador brings his or her personal knowledge and college experience to the program, offering diversity and special encouragement to students from various levels of academic experience and background.
Program Description
The Engineering Ambassadors Outreach Program functions to bring awareness of engineering careers to prospective engineering students at the middle and high school level. Through interactive presentations and workshops, students will have the chance to explore the various fields of engineering with our trained Engineering Ambassadors. In addition, all associated students will have the means of getting further assistance in developing an academic plan though the program’s mentorship and tutoring. This academic plan will help them prepare for the rigors of the Engineering curriculum.
This outreach program will enlighten the minds of middle and high school students with regards to the opportunities and benefits of a career in Engineering, Construction Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology.
